Kleinood placeret I Helderberg området nær ved Stellenbosch.
Området er opvarmet om dagen og har kolde nætter. Druerne er plantet 172 – 198 meters over havet.
Dette er toppen af poppen og noget af det bedste jeg nogensinde har smagt.
Navnet Tamboerskloof kommer fra Valley (kloof) og trommer (tamboer)
Ruby red in colour with dark spices on the nose, the wine has aromas of violets, cold red fruit, cherry, plum and rose hip.
On the palate flavours of strawberry, Turkish delight, bramble and goji berries lead to a full-bodied finish of earthy spice and lush soft tannin.
This is a versatile wine, that pairs well with red meats, ostrich fillet, venison, Asian food and tomato-based dishes.
The grapes are hand-picked and sorted three times before going into stainless steel fermenters where a combination of modern technology and old-style winemaking techniques takes care of creating our unique hand-crafted wine.
Fermented at 26 ̊C for 12 days.
20 months in 500 litre French oak barrels 15% first, 20% second, 30% third, 35% fourth and older.
